Welcome to Wood Village Baptist Church! We are happy that you found our website. We believe there are some immediate questions you want to have answered, so please continue to read and follow the ministry links.
Who is the Lead Pastor?
Bill Ehmann has been the Lead Pastor at Wood Village Baptist Church since 1995. Prior to that, he served here as Director of Children’s and Youth Ministries and as Associate Pastor. You can click here to learn more about him.
What is special about Wood Village Baptist Church?
We are the only church in the City of Wood Village. Started as a Sunday school in 1951, the church constructed its first building on the campus in 1954. Our campus is a “hub” of the community, where people play sports, stop by for encouragement and gather for community-wide events.
While our emphasis is on the discipleship of followers of Jesus, we focus on taking the Gospel to the people of our community. The campus is located at 23601 NE Arata Road, Wood Village, OR 97060. Click here to learn more about us and to find directions.
If I come on Sunday, what will I find?
We offer two Sunday worship services. The message is the same at both hours, but the music at 9:30 a.m. features “old favorites” and the music at 11:00 a.m. is more recent or features “old favorites” presented in a more contemporary style. The atmosphere is friendly and informal at both services and dress is casual for most of us.
What is offered for children and youth on Sunday?
Nursery care for infants and toddlers, and study groups for children through Grade Two, are available from 9:15 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Children in Grade Three and older participate in the 11:00 a.m. worship service with their parents.
Middle School (Grades 6-8) and High School students each have their study group at 9:30 a.m. They participate in the 11:00 a.m. worship service. You can click here to learn more details about all of our children’s and youth opportunities and to find a site map of the campus. Children and youth matter to us. All workers undergo background checks and participate in ongoing education.
