Ways To Connect

At Wood Village Baptist Church, we believe in a strong commitment to family life and the important responsibility of bringing up children in the “nurture and admonition of the Lord.”

Our Children’s Ministries are designed to support parents in this influential role.

We are not able to offer in-person children's classes at this time. However, we video the lesson every week (Click here for Children's online lessons) and offer a Children's Zoom class on Sundays, 9:0-9:20am.  Email the church office for the link.

Under normal circumstances:

  • 9:30am: Childcare and Sunday School for Infants through Grade 5
  • 11:00am: Childcare and Sunday School for Infants through Grade 5
  • Sunday School includes crafts, Bible stories, music and more!
  • Our Children’s Library is open every Sunday at 10:30am. We have a wide selection of videos and books for every age group.

From infants through toddlers, we have a spacious and inviting nursery facility with a loving and caring staff. We also have safety and parent communication systems in place to give new parents peace of mind as they worship or serve on the campus.

Reveal the Wonder

Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the school year from 3:00PM to 4:30PM, we offer reading tutoring for children grades 1-6.  We strive to help children acquire a love for reading and gain confidence in their reading abilities.

Vacation Bible School

We hold VBS every summer on our campus. The evenings include Bible stories, skits, music, games and snacks. For children entering Kindergarten through Grade 5.

Summer Camp

Summer Camp is always a highlight in children’s lives. WVBC supports and sends our children to Trout Creek Bible Camp near Corbett, OR.

In all of our children’s programs, we place a priority on life decisions: personal salvation in Jesus Christ, growth and maturity in a daily walk with God, and a world view of service to God and others.

Each of these programs for children functions primarily through a strong volunteer staff.
