In this course we will not only be looking at the main themes of each of these books, but how each one teaches us about how to live our lives today in light of those truths. Far from merely narrating to us the people and events of the remote past, we will be looking at what God communicates to us about the past for the our present, and how that in turn shapes our hopes for the future.
How We Got the Bible

Often when we try to explain our faith to others, we ground our beliefs in the Bible. But for many people today, including believers, we don't have a very grounded knowledge or conviction about how we got it, and therefore why we should listen to it. Internet misinformation is everywhere, and if we have a shaky foundation, our very faith is in jeopardy. This course gives you both a coherent, big picture view of how we got our Bible, together and lots of specific details which give weight and credibility to those claims.
