New to WVBC?
We're excited that you have chosen to visit us! We know that visiting a new church can be intimidating. You can expect a warm greeting, but we won't do anything to single you out or embarrass you. We want you to be comfortable, so here is some information to help make your first visit a great one.
We look forward to meeting you!
During the current pandemic restrictions, we offer two identical services at 9am & 11am. Our worship music is a blend of traditional and contemporary songs. The Bible message is the same at both services. The 11am service has Spanish translation.
Dress is casual. Our chapel has wheelchair access.
COVID-19 screening and social distancing will be in effect. Because seating is limited, reservations are necessary.
To reserve your seat, please call or email the church office.
Under normal circumstances, we have two services on Sunday morning. The message is the same. The worship music is different. The 9:30am service features mostly hymns and familiar choruses. The 11am service has a contemporary vibe, incorporating current and new songs. The second service offers Spanish translation.
We hope to be able to return to having a coffee and donut time in the Fellowship Hall (Building A), where you can meet and chat with people.
What to wear
Wear what you're comfortable in, whether that be a suit or shorts - we're more concerned with people's hearts than what they are wearing.
Both services include some great worship songs, a 30-minute message from a pastor that focuses on the Bible and how it applies to your life, and testimonials and encouragement from the church family.
Participate At your pace
You can choose to sing, pray, and talk at your own pace. There is no pressure to participate. Our greatest desire is that you experience God while you are here. If you have questions, feel free to pull aside any of our ushers or ministry staff for assistance.
Kids & Students
Currently we are not able to offer children's classes or nursery care. Middle School and High School students are assisting with worship services at 9am and 11am.
Under normal circumstances:
Nursery-5th grade classes are offered at the 9:30am and 11:00am services. You are welcome to check your kids into their classes up to 15 minutes before the service begins. Our children's leaders are here to welcome and engage your kids in a fun and educational experience. All classes are located in the Children’s Center (Building A).
Middle School and High School students are invited to classes during the 9:30am service. We offer a free breakfast at 9:15am in the Youth Center (Building C). During their time in Youth Bible Class, your students will have the opportunity to build positive, lasting friendships while studying the Word of God together.
If you’re ready to jump into a more intimate and focused learning time, we offer several adult classes. Each class offers individualized prayer, solid Bible teaching and fellowship time.
