Poder Increíble 

Meditación con el pastor Bill

Sentado en mi silla de tratamiento esta semana frente a una ventana que me daba una vista para el Monte St. Helens, cubierto de nieve sobre un fondo azul cielo. Era una escena magnífica, y tuve mucho tiempo para disfrutarla y reflexionar sobre el significado de esa montaña.

Antes de 1980, lo llamé “Monte Dome Cromado”, porque en comparación con las otras montañas irregulares en esta área, tenía una cima redondeada. Después de que estalló hace 40 años, eso cambió. Ahora lo llamo “Monte de Superficie Plana”. Medité sobre el poder involucrado el día que explotó. Cuando te tomas el tiempo para ver el cráter que ahora existe, es difícil comprender el impacto de esa explosión.

Tengo amigos que se especializaron en volar colinas para proporcionar rocas a las canteras. Cuando pudieron dinamitar suficiente de rocas para que valiera la pena, se sintieron felices y, espero, bien pagados. Fue un trabajo muy duro. Pero en comparación con Mount St. Helens, apenas hicieron un hueco.

No trato de entender la explicación científica de lo que sucedió, porque prefiero pensar en lo sobrenatural. El Creador dijo que, si tenemos suficiente fe en Él, podríamos creer que Él movería montañas. No sé si alguien le estaba pidiendo a Dios que moviera gran parte del Monte St. Helens, pero ese día se demostró un poder que desafía todo lo que los humanos pueden hacer.

Y pensar que el mismo Dios poderoso vive dentro de mí me emociona y me humilla. Pensé en cómo la sangre que Jesús derramó tiene el poder de lavar mi pecado y llevarme a una relación eterna y permanente con el Dios Creador. Y lo ofrece a cualquiera que acepte este regalo de gracia.

Una canción dice: “Su amor no tiene límite, su gracia no tiene medida, su poder no tiene límites conocidos por los hombres”. Hoy estoy descansando en la seguridad de su asombroso poder.
